Their job is to win the ball and give it to the Backs. 3. The Backs are smaller and faster, and run like rabbits. Their job is to take the ball from the Forwards, and attack the opposition. 4. Scrum Half. He takes the ball from the Forwards and passes it to the Backs 5. Line-Out, Scrum, and Free Pass 6. A Line-Out is used when the ball goes into touch 7. A Scrum is used when the ball is passed forward, or accidentally knocked forward (a knock-on) 8.
