Jon Amor opened the meeting and mentioned the new season and how he is looking forward to it being a successful one. He then asked if all the coaches could have an input into our meetings and all have a say and all work together as one team. Jon also noticed that some age groups were stronger in numbers than others and hoped that this could be addressed by involving parents and helpers to get players to training sessions. It was also noted that the clean up days went very well and Jon thanked everyone for their help. Andy Thomson from the senior committee side of the club was welcomed to the first mini-junior meeting. Andy proceeded to tell us of the benefits and of taking the club forward and becoming one club under a limited company banner and how we would need advice from people with experience in accounting, A steering committee has been set up to address any problems and also John Large has been asked to give us advice and come onboard as he has experience in this area. Andy said that he would keep the Mini Juniors up to date with this. Mandy Pearce was then asked to give her side of the accounts for the Mini junior section having just taken over from Vaughan Evans. She informed us that we are in a healthy state and hoped that this could be kept this way for the coming season but stressed the importance of the subscriptions as there was a shortfall last season from what was paid in to the number of players registered. Caroline Torkington who is the membership secretary then told us that the she had prepared all the membership packs ready for registration day on the 5th of September so it will run smoothly as previously. Caroline stressed the importance of regular Subs and that she would also have Social membership forms ready for registration day. Andy Thomson said that he would try to attend registration day and tell every one of the benefits of a club loyalty card, e.g 10% of all drinks from the bar and also S.M.S text messages sent through the till. The cost of a replacement card is 5.00. Memberships for players in the 16, 17. Year age group is to be classed as a student. Any player 18 or over to be classed as seniors. It was also mentioned about the coaching structure for the 16,17, and 18 year age groups and that this should all be the same as the senior side. This would then make for a smooth transition into playing for the senior teams Brian Ashton the ex England and now coach at Fylde hopefully will be asked about a possible coaching session at Fleetwood. We are well off for kit and have purchased new kit bags with team/age names printed on them. If coaches need new pieces of equipment, first aid etc for their team then please let us know. Andy asked that all coaches and helpers keep the kit/ room tidy. The Mini-Junior commitment to the club was illustrated by the money being spent in the big room. The cost is estimated at 9.000 but 7.000 of this has been raised Grand Prize tickets to be sold from October 1st Sue Flynn had already given her apologies but had given a small report which Jon Amor read out. The fixtures have now been finalised, but any coaches making arrangements to play teams must inform the club as well as Sue. Also coaches from the Under 11`s and Under 12`s wishing to enter their teams into the Barclays Mini Festival must inform Sue as soon as possible. Any coaches arranging games against touring sides again must tell Sue and if playing on a Saturday must have an early kick off so that the senior teams can have plenty of time to warm up and kick off on time. Sarah Christianson Sarah has taken on the role of coaching co-ordinator and any coaches wishing to go on courses please let Sara know, and if your details have changed regarding the coaching level again let Sara know.
