A young talent, Ex-Doncaster Rovers junior who was released last year. Shown his ability in pre-season and could be pressing Jamie for the number one shirt. A very good signing Jamie AllenKeeper. Signed from Brodsworth and made captain at Rangers last term. Jamie missed the start of last term with an injured shoulder, but made up for it with some superb performances. Scott Pickles Defence. Probably Rangers biggest signing this term, Scott has been a top performer in the NCEL with the likes of Selby. Has slotted in well between Walkden and Sanderson. Jake StannardDefender. Another Ex-Brodsworth player. Jake started out in central midfield for Rangers but showed his ability and agility in a few positions last term. Super fit, and will run all game. Graeme SevernDefender. Full back and ex-Askern Villa player, Slotted in at left back and became a firm favourite straight away. Rangers fans have enjoyed seeing him bombarding the left flank. Andy WalkdenDefender. Andy had a storming season last term with consistently high standards of performance. An absolute rock at the back and calmness personified. Rob SandersonDefender. Rob is a more adventurous Centre back. Confident with the ball and willing to drive forward. Sando is also shown his agility in set piece situations at both ends. Jack CrossMidfield. New signing. Released by Scunthorpe United, Jack made his debut at Thackley and scored within 2 minutes. Will have to settle to the NCEL tempo but very good technique and an exciting prospect. Gavin CooperMidfield. Gav started out at full back last term, but also gave driven performances in central midfield and up front. Likes a tackle and very committed performer. Darren FellMidfield. Playing down the left side Darren has worked hard, always an option and can pinpoint a cross into the danger area. Looks like a very good signing. Former Doncaster Rovers, Harrogate and Goole player. Daniel SmithDefender. Signed from Hallam midway through last term. Daniel quietly slotted into the side with little fuss and impressed straight away. Then when injuries meant a need for a centre back Dan excelled in an unfamiliar central role. A good signing James ONeill-/Midfield. Signed from Goole Afc. James made a steady start in truth, but when his game kicked in he became pivotal in Wintertons midfield. A key performer. Danny FrostMidfield. Danny had a great season last term and spent time this season with Gainsoro Trinity. Recently returned but broke his leg. Expecting a full recovery soon to return to the squad. Danny BarlowMidfield. Danny signed earlier this season from Staveley. A youngster with bags of talent who is working to pick up from his release by Barnsley. Craig RobinsonDefender. Craig is another ex-Selby player. He has played at right back in pre-season and looked to enjoy the freedom to push forward. Plenty of competition for that roll though but has cemented his place well. Liam Wilkin Forward. Had a rough start to his Rangers career, but showed his credentials with a 32 goal haul including the County Cup Winner. Liam looks much fitter this term and far more relaxed. Thomas FinniganStriker. Thomas recently signed from App. Frod where he fired in12 goals for the struggling near neighbours. We are looking forward to seeing him in the blue of Rangers. Liam Slack Striker. Liam is a real dynamo of a striker, showed some of his potential last term and big things are expected this time around. Highly regarded around West Street. Dean WilburnStriker. Dean played a number of games last term but struggled with a recurring injury that meant we only saw part of his potential. A more traditional centre forward, strong in the air and likes the ball to his feet. Working back from a broken leg. Alex Yates Striker. Alex played in a friendly against Rangers and impressed enough to start the weekend after scoring the winner at Maltby. Yet another injured striker battling to return to fitness. Kirk Frost Striker. Kirk made a debut against Bridlington. Looked very quick and strong. Came on again against Selby and again impressed with his work ethic. Has mainly impressed coming from the bench. Ryan Malee Midfield. Ryan played for Richard and Mark at Brodsworth. Had some long term injury issues but is working towards fitness with Rangers. Made a few substitute appearances. Winterton Rangers FC were founded in 1934. They were originally an intermediate side before becoming members of the Scunthorpe & District league following the Second World War. Rangers were quite successful in this league, winning trophies on many occasions. Winterton have used just two grounds in their history. They were situated at Watery Lane until 1950 when a spot of land was purchased at West Street. In 1965 they joined the Lincolnshire county league but their stay was a relatively short one as they accepted an invitation to join the Yorkshire League in 1970. The next decade saw Rangers become one of the league major forces and they took the league title on three occasions. They also reached the 4th qualifying round of the FA Cup twice in 71-72 and 76-77. Their best FA Vase performance was also in the 76-77 season when they reached the Quarter Final stage. In 1978 Rangers successfully won the Philips six-a-side floodlight cup, beating that years Vase winners Newcastle Blue Star in Birmingham. The prize? Six floodlights. In 1982-83 they became founder members of the Northern Counties East League, when the Yorkshire League and Midland League amalgamated. It was a sad time just two seasons later when the club disbanded due to financial difficulties. Rangers then re-entered the NCEL Division 2 in 1986 and after several poor seasons they won the Division 2 title in 1989-90 and were promoted directly to the Premier Division. After four average years in the top flight Rangers were finally relegated at the end of the 1993/94 season. In 2002 Dave Crowder joined the club as Chairman and brought with him a new committee to join the few people already at the club. After many seasons struggling with such a small amount of people the club were now looking forward to a bright future. In no time at all alterations were under way with a pool table been installed and a new kitchen put in place. After securing a grant from the Football Stadia Improvement Fund, the work in phase one would include new changing rooms, toilets, turnstiles and car parks. The hard working committee continued to improve facilities, two new clubhouse bars were built and new fire and security systems fitted. Phase two included a new terraced stand along with new walls and footpaths around the ground. Extensive work was done to improve the pitch and further r clubhouse developments were completed. During the summer of 2006 a brand new seated stand and dugouts were built along with further raised hard standing. Fencing was also erected down one side and behind one goal. The ground and facilities can now be considered one of the best in the whole league. After the excellent finish to last season, optimism was high. Manager Pete Daniels and his assistant, Dave Robinson, had built an excellent squad containing a balance of youth and experience. A great season followed in 2006/07, gaining promotion to the Premier in second place behind Parkgate. The team of young lads had done us proud. Pre season saw more money spent on the infrastructure. The floodlights were brought up to Conference standard in the major spend of the summer. And things started brightly pre-season when Rangers beat Hull City 3-2 at West Street against their full squad., which set up Rangers for a superb season. The side up to Christmas was untouchable, but with a couple of players leaving for Unibond it was a worry if the start would be sustained. New blood came in and the dream season continued culminating in the league title and League Cup double. It was decided not to apply for Unibond football. 2008/09 would be a tricky one following on from Rangers explosive return to the Premiership. Pete and Dave would battle through a terrible string of injuries to reach a County Cup Final and a fifth place finish. And in pre-season Pete decided to end his superb spell at West Street. New beginnings on 2009/10. Interviews over and Richard Sennett and Mark Turner were installed in the managers hot seat. A surprise to some as they came from a struggling Brodsworth, including some players who didnt give them a chance and left pre-season. The new team had to be built from scratch, which meant for a difficult start to the season that saw Rangers hover around the mid-table area. But Christmas and the heavy snow saw Rangers step up their game, a few new faces and a run in that saw Winterton pushing for a top five finish until the last game. Cup glory came with a superb win against Arnold Town in the Presidents Cup, followed by a County Cup triumph against Louth Town in the last game of the season. A major achievement for a side that had but one existing player from the season before. =>?ACD , D E P u ] ^ r s " # $ 1 3 : ; < ԷrZrZr/hhUhd5B*CJOJQJ\^JaJph/hhUhhU5B*CJOJQJ\^JaJphhCJOJQJ^JaJhdCJOJQJ^JaJ hd5CJOJQJ\^JaJ h5CJOJQJ\^JaJhh*=h,h`shjhUmHnHuhihdjhdUmHnHu# W/ !"#$%&'()*+,-./012356789:;gdd;<=>@ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYYZ[\]^_`abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvvwxyz{| , 9 E P Q ] j gd`sgdij u ^ _ # $ m n Z[9:?@1$gd 1$gddgdi< = O ( ; l m -.î}oao}}o}}oa}}a}P h|Y5CJOJQJ\^JaJh CJOJQJ^JaJhCJOJQJ^JaJhdCJOJQJ^JaJ#hhCJOJQJ\^JaJ hd5CJOJQJ\^JaJ)hhUhdB*CJOJQJ^JaJph#htSB*CJOJQJ^JaJph#hhUB*CJOJQJ^JaJph/hhUhd5B*CJOJQJ\^JaJphYZq:RXd}>?@XpSabjl45KLӔ䢔ӃuuughdmCJOJQJ^JaJhtSCJOJQJ^JaJ htS5CJOJQJ\^JaJh`sCJOJQJ^JaJ h`s5CJOJQJ\^JaJhhUCJOJQJ^JaJh h CJOJQJ^JaJ hd5CJOJQJ\^JaJhdCJOJQJ^JaJh|YCJOJQJ^JaJ(S5@|}JK!#j&+),R/1$gdd1$gdd?@ @{}´’„„vgYYGgGg#hh5CJOJQJ^JaJhCJOJQJ^JaJh5CJOJQJ^JaJhp5CJOJQJ^JaJhdmCJOJQJ^JaJ hj5CJOJQJ\^JaJ hdhdCJOJQJ^JaJh`sCJOJQJ^JaJ hd5CJOJQJ\^JaJ h`s5CJOJQJ\^JaJhdCJOJQJ^JaJhtSCJOJQJ^JaJIJK`i&j&,,3-Q/R/T/V/W/X/佹|h`sh&z hdhdh!-OJQJ^Jhdh!-OJQJ^JhdOJQJ^JhdhdOJQJ^Jhd hh1&#h1&h1&5CJOJQJ^JaJhCJOJQJ^JaJh1&CJOJQJ^JaJhCJOJQJ^JaJR/S/T/U/V/W/X/gdi1$gdd,1h.
